365Cincinnati Rookwood Pottery and Findlay Market Food Tour
Date: 1/26/2012
Sold out event!
365Cincinnati is proud to offer a behind the scenes tour of the Rookwood Pottery paired with a "Tasting Tour" at Findlay Market.
We will start our tour off with a food sampling tour at Findlay Market. We'll walk through the market, talking to vendors about what they do and sampling their wonderful creations.
We will then walk to the Rookwood Pottery (just a few blocks away) to get a behind the scenes look at what goes on at The Rookwood Pottery, including getting to see some artists at work.
Tour Details:
When: Thursday, January 26, 2012 starting at noon. The tour will last until about 2pm.
How Much: $5 per person (While our previous sign-ups have all been free, this results in us having at least 50% of the people not showing up. Because this tour includes the preparation of food, we need to be sure to have everyone who signs up in attendance - thus the need to charge for the tour. After paying for any associated costs involved, we will donate all remaining proceeds to a local charity.)
Who can attend: This tour is tailored for an adult audience. Children may attend with a supervising adult.
Weather: Because our tour is mostly inside, we will proceed rain or shine. The only thing that will keep us away will be deep snow. Please bring an umbrella if it's raining. Also, please provide a phone number when you register in case there's a last minute cancellation
What to wear: Please dress for the weather in comfortable clothes & walking shoes.
Where to meet and parking: Our tour will begin at Findlay Market. You can park in their lot (which is free). Follow the path into the big building and we will meet right inside the doors (near DoJo Gelato).
After we tour Findlay we will walk a few blocks to the Rookwood Pottery building.
